IDH1/2 mutations have been found in glioma, acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), chondrosarcoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and T-cell angioimmunoblastic lymphoma, as well as in colorectal and prostate cancers, with IDH1 R132H and IDH2 R140Q the frequently observed mutations (Ward et al., 2013). Here, IDH2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
