IDH1/2 mutations have been found in glioma, acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), chondrosarcoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and T-cell angioimmunoblastic lymphoma, as well as in colorectal and prostate cancers, with IDH1 R132H and IDH2 R140Q the frequently observed mutations (Ward et al., 2013). The gene discussed is IDH1; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
