VIM and breast cancer: The common pattern of breast cancer cells co-cultured with ln-aT, ln-dT or ob-dT bASCs indicated a changed expression of important cytoskeleton genes RAC2 and VIM, ECM genes LAMC2 and ICAM1, DNA repair genes ATM and BIRC2–3, and cell cycle regulating genes CCNA1, CCND2 and CENPE (Fig. 6D-F, 2nd, 3rd and 5th row), allowing possible molecular explanations for the increased cell proliferation, motility and chemoresistance observed in the experiments (Fig. 5 and Fig. S4–8).
