One such target we explored in this study was the CEACAM5 cell surface glycoprotein, which is expressed in various adenocarcinomas, including colon, rectum, pancreas, esophagogastric, and lung adenocarcinomas.16 We hypothesized that SGM-101, which is an anti-CEACAM5 antibody–conjugated fluorochrome, will specifically fluorescently label CEACAM5-positive lung nodules. The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
