Recently, B591 carrying a 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran core and potently inhibiting the PI3 K/mTOR signaling pathway suppresses feedback activation of ERK and Akt in rhabdomyosarcoma RD and breast cancer cells, indicating that B591 might have enhanced anticancer activity (Zhou et al. 2019).
