The elevated level of inflammatory biomarkers, including C-reactive protein (CRP) and cytokines, have been detected in patients with hypertension, revealing that the immune system is involved in hypertension as a low-grade inflammatory condition which is a chronic and continuous process and is more characterized by the increase of inflammatory cells and inflammatory mediators compared with infectious diseases, and usually does not show significant symptoms (5, 8, 9). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and hypertensive disorder.
