Although women with BRCA1 mutation have an increased risk of developing ovarian cancer (Antoniou et al., 2003; King et al., 2003), the rate of BRCA1 mutation in ovarian cancer patients is only 10%–16% (Risch et al., 2006; Kwon et al., 2010).
