According to the logistic regression analysis adjusting for CHA2DS2VASC, the association between ADAMTS-13 and AF was shown to be confounded by vascular risk factors [unadjusted odds ratio (OR) for higher vs. lower ADAMTS-13 activity (median cutoff: 103 IU/dL): 0.224 (95% CI: 0.073–0.686, p = 0.009); adjusted OR for higher vs. lower ADAMTS-13 activity (median cutoff: 103 IU/dL): 0.335 (95% CI: 0.102–1.098, p = 0.071)]. This evidence concerns the gene ADAMTS13 and atrial fibrillation.
