As some recent reports suggested that PD-L1/PD-1 pathway may play a role in controlling the development of certain types of breast cancer [45, 46], we examined the levels of PD-L1 in TIFs and serum and PD-1 levels in T cells of WT, Mlkl KO or GW-treated WT MMTV-PyMT mice and found that while there are low levels of soluble PD-L1 in TIFs, not in serum, the amounts of PD-L1 in these mice are quite similar regardless of MLKL status or GW treatment (Additional file 1: Fig. S5g). The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is breast carcinoma.
