Among the differentially expressed proteins, there were proteins involved either in the neurogenic process (e.g. GDF11) or in Alzheimer’s disease (e.g. LRRK2, RCAN1, NTRK2), or in both neurogenesis and Alzheimer’s disease (e.g. CREBBP, SFRP1, IL1RAP). Here, LRRK2 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
