Based on the hypothesis that the development of drug resistance -might be caused by related genes that induce cancer stemness, EMT, and apoptosis inhibition, we first designed scratch and invasion experiments and found that the PCK1 gene status was related to the proliferation and invasion of melanoma cells, while the activation of PCK1 could promote drug resistance in melanoma and increase the severity of the disease (Figure 4a, 4b). This evidence concerns the gene PCK1 and melanoma.
