Previous genome-wide association studies have shown that genetic polymorphisms in HDAC-9 are linked to several cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease,31 atherosclerotic stroke,32 and atherosclerotic aortic calcification33 and identified as a major risk locus for vasculopathies,34 suggestive of a role in disease pathogenesis. Here, HDAC9 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
