CRP and Hypoalbuminemia: Albumin, as a negative acute phase protein and a nutritional marker, has an influence on the development of atherosclerosis and unfavorable cardiovascular events, such as NR.9 Further, hypoalbuminemia was found to be a predictor of poor outcomes in patients with ACS by Polat et al.20 Additionally, lower levels of albumin on admission, even in the normal range, were a predictor of death in ACS individuals.21 In contrast to these findings, our multivariate model found that neither CRP nor albumin were associated to the formation NR in this investigation.
