USP2-AS1 is reported to be a direct transcriptional target of the oncoprotein c-Myc, and the expression levels of c-Myc and USP2-AS1 are positively correlated in different types of cancer, including colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), rectal adenocarcinoma (READ), breast cancer invasive carcinoma (BRCA), prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD) and gastric adenocarcinoma (STAD), therefore we can determine USP2-AS1 as the cancer promoting factor of breast cancer (Li et al., 2021). Here, MYC is linked to prostate adenocarcinoma.
