Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous endocrine disorder in reproductive-age women which is characterized by the accretion of small cystic follicles in the ovary, increased GnRH pulsatility, hypersecretion of luteinizing hormone (LH), anovulation, hyperandrogenemia, and insulin resistance (1–3). Here, GNRH1 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
