Additionally, ABCC1 is found to be indirectly upregulated by the silenced CUL3 KEAP1 E3 ligase in breast cancer, stabilizing nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2), and subsequently increases NRF2-regulated ABCC1 transcription, which exhibits resistance to both doxorubicin and paclitaxel [64].
