The same authors then analyzed CPT1C expression in patients with non-small cell lung carcinoma, finding that, CPT1C mRNA was upregulated in 81% of cases of tumorous tissues compared to normal adjacent tissue; interestingly, they also found that CPT1C was expressed in a broad range of human malignancies and suggested that CPT1C was involved in a parallel pathway to mTORC-enhanced glycolysis [23]. Here, CPT1C is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
