Adult-type diffuse gliomas are the most common pathological type of gliomas, and according to the 2021 update, they can be divided into three main disease groups based on their isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH1/2) mutation status and 1p/19q codeletion status: IDH‐mutant, 1p/19q codeleted oligodendroglioma; IDH‐mutant, non‐codeleted astrocytoma; and IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma (GBM) [3]. This evidence concerns the gene IDH1 and glioma.
