Network analysis revealed numerous miRNAs related to IPF and inflammation, as evidenced by their relationship with proinflammatory cytokines, TGF-β, THEMIS, and kinases, such as mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1 and 2 (MAP2K1/2), extracellular signal-regulated kinase, and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK14 and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
