Several fusion genes have been described in glioma including BCAS1 (Brain Enriched Myelin Associated Protein 1), CCDC6 (Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 6), CDC42BPB (CDC42 binding protein kinase beta), FAM131B (Family With Sequence Similarity 131 Member B), FXR1 (FMR1 Autosomal Homolog 1), GIT2, KLHL7 (Kelch Like Family Member 7), RNF130 (Ring Finger Protein 130) and TEMEM106B (Transmembrane Protein 106B) (15–21). The gene discussed is BCAS1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
