In canine mucosal melanoma, increased aberrations by gain of chromosome 13 and 17, and loss of chromosome 2 and 22 were reported using comparative genomic hybridization in situ, and copy number assessments using fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed gain of c-MYC and loss of CDKN2A, whereas in humans there was gain of 1q, 6p, 8q, 7, and loss of 6q and 10 (66, 67).
