In our study, we found that the AA genotype was significantly more prevalent in psoriasis patients than controls, and this is in accordance with the findings of a study done by Park et al. 1999 on Korean patients who reported significant differences in VDR genotype and allele frequencies (ApaI allele A) between psoriasis patients and normal controls, especially at early onset psoriasis. This evidence concerns the gene VDR and psoriasis.
