TLR3 and toxic epidermal necrolysis: Elsewhere (Ueta et al., 2021a), we reported that miR-628-3p was up-regulated in the plasma of patients with Stevens–Johnson syndrome (SJS)/toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) with severe ocular complications (SOCs) in the chronic stage and that miR-628-3p negatively regulated innate immunity by suppressing pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) such as TLR3, RIG-I, and MDA5.
