In the female participants, after adjusting for the variables listed above for the male participants plus menstruation status, high AST (per 1 U/L; OR, 1.007; 95% CI, 1.002–1.012; p = 0.010), high ALT (per 1 U/L; OR, 1.007; 95% CI, 1.003–1.010; p < 0.001), high albumin (per 1 g/dL; OR, 2.018; 95% CI, 1.356–3.003; p = 0.001), low total bilirubin (per 1 mg/dL; OR, 0.515; 95% CI, 0.348–0.762; p = 0.001), and high GGT (per 1 U/L; OR, 1.006; 95% CI, 1.004–1.009; p < 0.001) were significantly associated with incident DM.
