We further examined the risk factors for acute infection using multivariable analysis by including the American Society of Anesthesiologists class, autoimmune disease, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, standard deviation of red cell distribution width, neutrophilic granulocyte count, albumin levels, AFR, and C-reactive protein concentrations, which had a P value <0.1 in the univariable analysis. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is autoimmune disease.
