DARS1 and Alzheimer disease: On average, genes annotated to these DARs (n = 500 genes that were detectable in the snRNA-seq study) displayed higher transcription levels in oligodendrocytes of subjects with AD compared to subjects without AD, in agreement with the direction of acetylation differences (no pathology vs. pathology mean log2fc = 0.036, t-test FDR q = 0.016; no pathology vs. early pathology mean log2fc = 0.032, t-test FDR q = 0.033) (Figure 4K).
