SLITRK1 and Tourette syndrome: In 2005, Abelson et al. identified a frameshift mutation (SLITRK1 L422fs) in an individual with Tourette’s syndrome (TS; Figure 1A; Table 1) and in a cohort of TS patients, inv.(13; q31.1; q33.1) and variants in the 3′ untranslated region (SLITRK1 var321) were enriched (Abelson et al., 2005).
