GAPDH and metastatic neoplasm: In conclusion, although furtherclinical validation should be performedwith a higher number of samples at early stages, the significant increaseof the GAPDH transcript content in exosomes from patients comparedto healthy individuals envisages its role as a putative biomarkerfor breast cancer diagnostics and monitoring of metastatic disease. This work thus shows a promising strategy for being implemented atprimary health care in low-resource settings based on a minimallyinvasive liquid biopsy.
