DPP4 and Insulin resistance: Inflammation has been shown to induce insulin resistance with long‐term (e.g., 14 weeks), but not short‐term, HFD treatment.[23] Therefore, the differing responses to glucose tolerance test at week 10 and 14 of HFD feeding are likely a result of DPP4 deficiency in bone marrow‐derived immune cells that alleviates obesity‐induced inflammation and insulin resistance at week 14.
