Nagele et al. (2002) found that α7nAChR overexpression in human neuroblastoma SK-N-MC cells transfected with CHRNA7 was characterized by rapid binding, internalization, and accumulation of exogenous Aβ1–42 (but not Aβ1–40) via endocytosis [40].
