Thus, our goal here was to carry out the following: (a) radiosynthesis of [124/125I]IAZA; (b) assessment of binding affinity of IAZA to Aβ plaques and Tau; (c) evaluation of the binding of [125I]IAZA in postmortem human AD brain slices in vitro; (d) evaluation of drug effects on the binding of [125I]IAZA in postmortem human AD brain slices in vitro; (e) carrying out of a preliminary evaluation of [124I]IAZA in postmortem human AD brain slices in vitro.
