The demethylated derivative of sterubin, eriodictyol (Figure 5), found in the peel of citrus fruits and some Chinese herbal medicines, also showed an anti-Alzheimer’s-disease effect through antiferroptotic activity in vitro in HT22 cells and in vivo in the APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease [95]. This evidence concerns the gene APP and Alzheimer disease.
