In vivo, after treatment with DS, there was a reduction in diarrhea, bleeding, ulcerations, thickening, and inflammation of the colon due to the decrease in the expression of NO, COX-2, PGE2, IL-1β, MMP-9, proto-oncogene Wnt-1 (Wnt-1), β-Catenin, cyclin-D1, C-MYC, Transcription factor 4 (TCF-4), lymphoid enhancer binding factor 1 (LEF-1), glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β), NF-kB p-p65, and p-IκBα and increased IL-4, and IL-10. The gene discussed is CCND1; the disease is Dravet syndrome.
