CDC25C and neoplasm: We focus on studying the role of CDC25C in the developing brain because: (i) Cdc25c is preferentially expressed in neural progenitors, including apical radial glial (aRG) and basal radial glial (bRG) of the fetal human neocortex [23,24]; (ii) tumor stem cells share a similar genetic mechanism with NPCs [25], and CDC25C has been widely implicated in having a role in human tumors [14].
