Once we detected that C/EBPβ regulates the activity of the TFAM promoter, the next objective was to analyze the expression and localization of both proteins in neurons in physiological conditions as well as under neuronal differentiation and oxidative stress; two processes in which the implication of C/EBPβ has been described [15,30] and that are involved in PD pathology development [5].
