Zhang et al. reported that erianin, a small-molecule benzyl compound derived from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl, exhibited anticancer activity in lung cancer cells due to the induction of apoptosis, G2/M phase arrest, and the inhibition of the PI3K/Akt/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway in vitro and in vivo [21]. Here, MTOR is linked to lung carcinoma.
