Tks4 seems not to be heavily involved in the formation and maintenance of cancer stem cells, as stemness markers (CD133, CD144, CD24, CD166, CD44, CD29, ALDH1, LGR5, PCGF1, and CXCR4) [48] are not significantly affected by the deletion of Tks4 (Supplementary Table S2), many of them are even absent from our dataset. The gene discussed is CDH5; the disease is cancer.
