One in vitro study has found that membrane expression of ENO1 in MCF-7 cells, a human breast cancer cell line, was significantly increased after exposure to lipopolysaccharide (LPS), but both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against ENO1 were able to potentially downregulate the LPS-stimulated invasion of those cells, which was mediated by membrane ENO1 [36]. Here, ENO1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
