LGALS3 and coronary artery disorder: Typically, the DEAL-HF study [3] showed similar results to ours, in which age, history of coronary heart disease, BMI, and NT-proBNP were also associated with an increase in galectin-3 in patients with heart failure (p < 0.05), and galectin-3 concentration was positively correlated with age and NT-proBNP (r = 0.318 p < 0.001; r = 0.265 p < 0.001) (Table 2).
