CRP and hypophosphatemia: Since then, the WHU criteria has been refined and modified, with the final more accepted version containing the following six major factors [43,44]: (1) body temperature > 38.9 °C with relative bradycardia, (2) ESR > 90 mm/h or CRP > 180 mg/L, (3) ferritin more than two times the normal value, (4) hypophosphatemia, (5) phosphokinase more than two times elevated, and (6) microscopic hematuria on admission.
