Among the 13 differentially regulated genes in the calcium signaling pathway, ERBB3, a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor, is considered to have a critical oncogenic role in pancreatic cancer pathogenesis, disease progression, and acquisition of chemoresistance [58,59,60] and more importantly, has recently gained increased attention as a potential therapeutic target in PDAC [60,61]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
