Overlaying common hits from both screens narrowed down candidates to 10 hits, and among them, two compounds (#19 and #51) survived after another two tiers of selection, including (1) exerting an ability to reduce Akt-pS473 in at least three out of four NSCLC cell lines and (2) suppressing NSCLC cell growth in vitro. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
