We show that the expression of cleaved caspase-3, ICAM-1, neuropilin-1, myeloperoxidase, calreticulin, galectin-3, and PD-L1 were spatially associated with the efficacy of panobinostat, a pan-HDAC inhibitor that was previously shown to induce immunogenic cell death and synergize with anti-PD-1 in breast cancer. The gene discussed is LGALS3; the disease is breast carcinoma.
