Among these, we observed 27 novel associations with AD (top hit at rs2232429, within the ITGB5 gene, p = 6.41 × 10−19), 34 with PD (top hit at rs1372518 within the SNCA gene, p = 3.33 × 10−28) and 40 with MDD (top hit at rs200965 in a transcription factor binding site on 6p22.1, p = 4.07 × 10−15). Here, ITGB5 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
