To elucidate the potential molecular mechanisms of Halorotetin A on HepG-2 cell growth, we examined the transcription levels of several genes associated with the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), including oncogenes (PIK3CA, c-myc, and c-met) and HCC suppressor genes (TP53, PTEN, KEAP1, ARID1A, ARID2, and AXIN) [24] by qRT-PCR. Here, KEAP1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
