To further explore the relationship between different baseline VEGF levels and survival in patients with unresectable HCC, we assessed the differences in mortality between patients with high and low VEGF (>131.09 vs. ≤131.09 pg/mL) levels at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years using univariate and multivariate logistic regression; the results demonstrated that patients with high VEGF had a higher risk of death at 1 year and 2 years than those with low VEGF (Supplementary Table S4). Here, VEGFA is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
