Interestingly, in circulating CD8 T cells from metastatic melanoma patients undergoing checkpoint blockade, IFNγR2 expression inversely correlated with stemness maintenance pathways (Fig. 1f), supporting the notion that IFNγ signaling inhibited CD8 T cell stemness also in blood, at least upon checkpoint blockade. Here, IFNGR2 is linked to metastatic melanoma.
