Khan et al. (2018), did not detect OCT4 expression in 20 cases of aggressive multicystic solid AME, stating that this protein could be used as a useful indicator to histologically distinguish ameloblastic carcinoma from aggressive multicystic solid AME; whereas, in our study, we observed high OCT4 expression in 23 cases of solid AME. Here, POU5F1 is linked to ameloblastic carcinoma.
