It is reported that SYTL1 binds to the plasma membrane via interacting with phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PIP3) with ATPase capacity [12].The phosphoinositide 3-kinase and its product PIP3 play a central role incellular physiology and mediate critical cellular processes, such as cell proliferation, survival and cytoskeletal reorganization during tumor development[13].We guess that SYTL1 might be involved in cancer progression. This evidence concerns the gene SYTL1 and cancer.
