FAT1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: To further study epigenetic regulation of FAT1 expression we treated T-ALL cell lines Jurkat and Molt-4 with the hypomethylating agent 5-Azacytidine at 1 and 5 μM for 24 h in vitro and analyzed FAT1 mRNA expression by Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR), discovering a dose-dependent FAT1 upregulation (FC = 1.45; p = 0.008 for 5 μM; Fig. 2e).
