In our study, based on 16 variables that combined blood glucose levels and parameters related to insulin resistance and dyslipidemia, we classified 258 individuals into three clusters with unique metabolic characteristics: cluster 1 was characterized by the lowest blood glucose levels, insulin sensitivity, and lowest lipid levels; cluster 2 was characterized by a moderate level of blood glucose, serious insulin resistance, and high levels of cholesterol and triglyceride; and cluster 3 was characterized by the highest blood glucose levels and insulin deficiency. Here, INS is linked to metabolic syndrome.
